I ate there on a Sunday lunch time and had a delicious meal. They had several excellent deals such as the credit crunch buster menu for £12.50 per person for three courses, with five starters, five main courses and five desserts, but we opted for the tapas and had the salmon with sauté potatoes and chorizo in a bean stew for £4.95 each. We also had three separate tapas dishes, two soft drinks, a glass of wine and a beer - which in total came to just under thirty pounds. The atmosphere was good and the service very friendly and prompt. I've eaten in quite a few Spanish restaurants and this has to be one of the best. I've also lived in Northern Spain and can say that the tortilla Espanola is just as good as those I ate in La Coruna. I would highly recommend Murillos.

I am Spanish myself, and went to Murillo Tapas Wine Bar to check it out before inviting my English friends and one thing I can tell you, they made me feel proud of being a Spaniard. Without any doubt it is the finest Spanish restaurant in Cheshire, if not in England - great food, location and atmosphere. The owner Felix and his wife Heather with Emily, their future daughter-in-law at front of the house made me feel very welcome, and the rest of the guys were superb, especially the Barman Nick. However, the heart of the place is Simon, their son and the chef. His food is fantastic. I will be going there as a regular from now on.

We've always been so taken with the Paella Valenciana that we've never got round to ordering much tapas. It's deliciously and authentically flavoured with plenty of chicken, fish, squid, prawns, mussels, peppers etc. and beautifully presented. The sangria and wines are excellent. The members of staff have always been friendly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a lovely selection of Spanish guitar music.

I ate with three of my friends at Murillos Tapas Wine Bar last night. We had a wonderful night and the food was superb. The lamb segovian and boqerones en vinagre were my favourites. We let our waitress have control as she seemed to know the menu very well. She even chose our wines to suit what we were eating. She brought us some lovely mohito while we were looking over the menu. There was a good atmosphere and the level of service was perfect, we were never over or under served and were attentively looked after without the feeling of being stalked. We want to thank our waitress, who was so kind, I think her name was Sarah. I will be back for sure and it was a highly satisfying night.

This is a fantastic restaurant. You can pop in for a bottle of wine and a plate of olives straight from work, a sandwich at lunchtime or meet friends in the evening for a superb meal. This is a versatile and a friendly establishment not to be missed.

Absolutely fantastic Spanish food for really great prices, especially the three Tapas per person for 9.95 is, so much to choose that we dine there two to three times per week, and we always get different food. The service is excellent with very friendly staff. You really get excellent food and good value for money. Paella is very good. Emily and Billy are fantastic.

I am Spanish and I can say tapas from this restaurant are real and delicious Spanish tapas, congratulations to the chef!!
I like the decoration, the flamenco music and the very very friendly waiters. I understand perfectly the reasons because this restaurant is always full.
There I enjoyed a meal with some friends, we loved the spanish omelette, the bacalao, the croquetas, a delicious salad with orange and avocado, the patatas bravas, the prawns..., and after the desserts were lovely and to finish, some coffees (particularly good the cappuccino).
Murillos is well worth a visit and we will be going back in September to try the three courses credit crunch buster menu £12.50 per person that they are launching on the 1st of the month

Very pleasant environment. Good and attentive service even during busy times. Most importantly food was well prepared and absolutely delicious. Both the tapas and the a la carte menu are classic Spanish and well worth going back for. Paella takes 30 minutes and they have a selection of six including Vegetarian or Lobster Paella on the menu. Wine list made up of very good selection Spanish and New World wines.

A close group of my friends and I enjoyed ourselves at Murillos so much last night that we made another booking for next week before they all go back home. We arrived at about seven and had a couple of drinks at the bar and then sat down for dinner. Having spent a couple of years in Spain, I found the tapas and sangria to be very authentic and the menu included a number of favourites. The service was swift and smiles plentiful. A Musician played from about ten and spared no time in getting us up. I would definitely recommend you go down there and see for yourself, it's great!

I had a fabulous night at Murillos last week, went for a meal and the quality of food was great, especially the tender steaks and the Lamb casserole with sweet potato mash. I went to the bar area afterwards and had some lovely mojitos The musician was playing some great Spanish tunes and it was great value for money. Ill be back.

Booked our wedding meal here. The Food and Service were both absolutely outstanding. They couldn't do enough to make sure our meal and time spent there was a happy one. All the guests were absolutely overwhelmed. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. We will certainly be back

Last Thursday evening at Murillos Tapas Bar table for 4. I found this card on the table prompting customers to do a review of their experiences while dining.
(Please let us known how we done by writing a review of your expeience with us on any of the following restaurants sites below.
http:// www.onionring.co.uk, http://www.marple-uk.com, http://www.restaurant-guide.com or http://www.sugarvine.com) The Paella was one of the best I have ever tasted. I have spent a lot of time in Galicia the best place for seafood in Spain (the restaurants in Madrid are supplied from there) so I am able to offer a balanced opinion. Far from being frozen the Seafood was very fresh and the mussels great. The atmosphere was very friendly and service very good. The house white was good. The deserts were yummy, ask for the almond tart. The whole evening fantastic value and I will definitely be back again.

Recently returned to murillo's for my wife's birthday and was amazed and excited by the wide rang of food on the menu, and also new special menus that were placed on each table advertising the sunday roast and also a new 'credit crunch buster menu' where you can have 3 courses for 12.50.
The staff are some of the pleasant around, i think this is because they care so much, each intricate detail from the restaurants display to the placing of food on the table is taken care of with such enthusiasm. have returned, and will be returning many times in the future.

I ate at Murillo Tapas Bar recently. it was a Tuesday night and the place was packed!! people were still coming in when we left at 11.30 and i can see why because the food was amazing!!
we had an array of tapas dishes and shared the suckling pig a main course from the Specials. The tapas dishes were sensational, in particular the patatas bravas. i love good patas bravas at the best of time but here it is something else it is to die for! the suckling pig was also very good although if i ate there again i would probably just stick to the tapas dishes rather than sacrificing one for a main.
when ordering our wine, the waiter suggested/presumed that we would agree to go for a bottle which was £5 more expensive than the one we had initially gone for which i thought was a bit cheeky but it was one of the nicest bottles of red wine i had had for a long time so we didn't complain (i just wonder whether the one we initially wanted would have been as good). other than that service was faultless, brilliant polite and charming staff who are also attentive, we didn't have to wait for anything.
we also had a couple of sherries and a beautiful chocolate dessert. would definitely recommend.

I had a fantastic meal in Murillo Tapas Wine Bar last Friday. The place was busy, and looked a little crowded but it suprisingly works. The Spanish music and friendly waitresses makes you feel as though you are in a real Spanish restaurant. The food was great, with a really good selection of offer. The Sangria washed the meal down nice, and the price was reasonable to - about £22 a head. The only thing that annoyed me slightly was the length of weight until we were given the menus - but it's just a small gripe. I'd definately recommend it.

A group of us (15 in total) went to Murillos for a friend's 21st birthday last Saturday and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal as did everyone else. We had a selection of Tapas to start with and Paellas and main courses to follow, and I can't stop thinking about it and have raved about it to everyone today. I had the duck with cherries sauce and I have to say, it was the best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. Aftewards they presented my friend with a cake for her birthday and the play happy birthday in both Spanish and English. The staff are great and really friendly and the whole place has a lovely feel to it. We have planed to go elsewhere after our meal but we were so well look after by every one at Murillos that we decided to stay there and had coffee and drinks in their terrace until passed midnight. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have been to Murillo in Marple few times already. The owner and staff are extremely hospitable. The food is out of this world, simply delicious and mouth watering. Do not take my word, but please go and visit and find out for yourself.

If you are looking for real Spanish food, this is actually the place to go. The food they serve at Murillos is what we eat in Spain. We had the Iberian ham cut by hand, croquetas and huevos a la Flamenca as starters - absolutely amazing. The Paella Valenciana was very good with lots of chicken pork and fish. Good wines selection too. And they make a dessert called Fried Milk

The food and customer service was excellent. The staff were really good at giving advice and helping with the menu. There is a really nice vibe about the place and I will definitely go back. I loved their Lamb Segovian style and the mussels, and couldnt resist Pudding de la Casa. The bill was reasonable and felt I had good value for my money. A pitty it was raining because the terrace looks lovely and full of flowers and Vines.

We hadn't booked anywhere on Saturday night,so we've decided to see if Murillo's could fit 2 of us in.The hostess greeted us warmly at the door and said they could squeeze us in if we could wait 20 minutes to half an hour we grabbed it.We ordered about 6 tapas dishes between us,all were very nice, prawns were great.Had a bottle of house wine we had coffee and two Fundador brandy. Not too pricey and good service. We'll go again as is very handy and serves good food, with good spanish background music.ADRIAN

We booked at murillo's using the £60.00 voucher that my sister in law gave us for our wedding anivesary.
Despite being a wednesday night the restaurant was busy. The menu had a wide choice and all sounded nice. We all decided to stick to the set tapas menu (£17.50 for any eight tapas). The Iberico ham and catalana bread with piquillo peppers and marinated anchovies were gorgeous. Then we had garlic prawns and Spanish tortilla with paella marinera and grilled thin lamb cutlets, the chicken pincho and beef Rioja wine sauce was also really nice- too much for me! Had the Chocolate brownie for desserts which could of been smaller, but was a great way to finish the meal. The three young gentlemen playing blues were fantastic. The bill a mere £104.00 for four of us, with two bottles of house wine and a few drinks.
Service was great with very well presented group of girls that look like they knew what they were doing. We will be back Sr murillos

Fantastic, it was like a home from home. While on holiday to the UK with the idea of bettering my English I was taken to Murillo's in Marple by some friends I met in Manchester, It was cooking like my "madre" used to make. Very good authentic Spanish cooking and very resonable price. The owner Sr. Felix was a very good host and made us feel very welcome. As we say back home, it was "de puta madre". Went last Saturday. Had 4 tapas as starters, which were very nice, then for mains 2 of us shared a paella, and 2 had steaks. The whole meal was very nice. We could not eat all the paella and took some home. The steaks were a good size and came with veg, no hidden extras.
Worth a trip from Warrington. Made a nice change.

some aspects of the service were slightly slow but pleasant atmosphere and nice food.
B. Brocklehurst, Stockport (15/05/2006) says....
The service and food quality were good, atmosphere pleasant with spanish music playing. However, the (lack of) lobster paella was a disappointment. We were presented with half of a tiny lobster each which amounted to less than a mouthful of meat. There was more meat in a regular king prawn which, like the mussels, were the tiniest I have ever seen. The lobster claw was completely empty, but served up anyway! Very economical with the seafood overall and vastly overpriced as a result. I chose this venue and meal for our wedding anniversary as a direct result of the glowing review and photo posted on their website about the lobster paella, presented as something of a speciality! The house wine was also overpriced for the quality, it left my tongue dry like sandpaper for 24 hours after. I have had far superior wines in Spain for 1.25 euros (90p) a bottle! The homemade soup and dessert were good.

Never had a bad meal there in over 12 years, Felix and Heather run a very tight ship, the chefs are some of the best around and the ingredients used authentic, no cheap substitutes. Whether you are 2 people or 10 people, the food is well presented, timing is great and the wine cellar is extensive.
One of my favourite eating places in the area.
